Read Section
The short version
- The Read section is where Materia+ publishes articles. Find it under Read in the main menu, or at materiaplus.com/read.
- Everything in the Read section is for general information, education and wellness.
- It isn't medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment plan, and it isn't a substitute for professional care.
- Articles come from Materia+, providers, independent authors, and other sources we re-share. Authors' views are their own.
- Authors must tell us about any financial link to products they mention, and we show it.
- If you think an article is wrong or unsafe, tell us.
1.What the Read section is
Materia+'s articles, guides and videos, under Read in the main menu.
The Read section is Materia+'s publication. It holds articles, guides and videos about natural health, wellness and holistic practice. You can find it under Read in the main menu, in the footer, or at materiaplus.com/read. This document applies to everything in the Read section, including our newsletter and anything from the Read section that we share on social media.
2.What it's for
General information, not advice for you.
Everything in the Read section is for general educational, informational and wellness purposes. It isn't medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment plan, and should never be used as a substitute for professional medical care. To the extent the law allows, Materia+ and its authors aren't responsible for health decisions you make, or for what happens, based on what you read.
3.Who writes it
Materia+, providers, independent authors, and articles we re-share from other sources.
Content in the Read section comes from:
- Materia+
- providers on Materia+
- independent authors who submit articles to us and aren't providers on Materia+
- other sources, when we re-share an article, guide or video first published somewhere else
An author's views are their own. Publishing or re-sharing an article doesn't mean Materia+ endorses the author, a provider or anything the article recommends.
Re-shared content belongs to its original author or publisher. We credit the source and link to it where we can. To the extent the law allows, Materia+ isn't responsible for the accuracy of content from other sources. If you can't find the source of something we've re-shared, ask us at support@materiaplus.com.
4.Our editorial rules
No cure claims, and financial links are disclosed.
Providers and independent authors who submit articles agree to our Contributor Terms. Among other things:
- Articles may not claim that a herb, supplement, homeopathic remedy or wellness technique cures, treats or prevents a specific disease or chronic condition. They focus on general health and wellness.
- Authors must tell us about any financial, affiliate or sponsorship link to products, brands or services they mention. We add a disclosure to the article.
- We may edit articles for length, clarity and style, add disclaimers or links, and decline or remove any article.
5.Reporting a problem
Tell us if something looks wrong or unsafe.
If you think something in the Read section is inaccurate, unsafe or undisclosed advertising, email support@materiaplus.com with a link to it.
