These standards apply to everyone who uses Materia+: patients, caregivers, providers and visitors. They are part of our Terms of Service. Providers also follow the Provider Terms and Credentials, Titles & Badges, which set higher professional standards.

Don't:

• harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone
• post or send hateful or discriminatory content about anyone's race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other protected characteristic
• send sexual content or make sexual advances
• abuse or insult our support team
• keep contacting someone who has asked you to stop

Don't:

• pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent your connection to a person or organization
• give false information about yourself, your health or, if you're a provider, your qualifications
• post fake reviews, or reviews of a provider you haven't seen
• say or suggest that Materia+ endorses you or your products
• open more than one account, except to replace one you can no longer use

Don't:

• share someone else's personal or health information without their permission
• record, photograph or screenshot a video visit, or share a recording, unless everyone in the visit agrees and the law where each person is allows it
• use information from Materia+ to contact people for reasons unrelated to their care, or to market to them, without their consent

Don't claim that a remedy, supplement, product or therapy cures, treats or prevents a disease unless you're legally allowed to make that claim and can back it up. Don't tell anyone to stop prescribed medication or medical treatment.

Don't:

• try to get into accounts, systems or data that aren't yours, or test our security without our written permission
• interfere with the Platform, for example by overloading it or spreading malware
• copy, scrape, crawl or collect content, profiles or user information by automated means, including to train artificial intelligence or build databases
• copy, frame or reformat parts of the Platform on another website
• use the Platform to send spam or advertise without our permission
• use the Platform for anything illegal

You're responsible for anything you post or send, such as profile content, reviews, messages and articles. Only post content you have the right to share. Don't post content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark, or that is unlawful, defamatory or misleading.

If you see something that breaks these standards, or you feel unsafe, use the Report option where it's available, or email support@materiaplus.com. Tell us what happened, when and who was involved. We review every report and keep the person who reported it confidential where we can.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number first.

Depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before, we may:

• remove content
• give a warning
• limit features on the account
• hide a provider's profile from the directory
• suspend or close the account
• report it to a regulatory college or the police when we're required to, or when someone's safety is at risk

Where it's reasonable and safe, we'll tell you what we did and why, and give you a chance to respond. To ask us to look at a decision again, email support@materiaplus.com within 30 days.

If you believe content on Materia+ infringes your copyright, email support@materiaplus.com with:

• your name and contact details
• a description of the work you own
• where the content is on Materia+ (a link is best)
• a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized
• your signature, or the signature of someone authorized to act for you

We forward your notice to the person who posted the content and give them a chance to respond. We remove content that clearly infringes, or that breaks these standards.
