Every voice welcome
Providers, researchers and independent writers, with or without credentials. Good ideas can come from anywhere.
Materia+ ReadOur commitment
In a world of censorship and controlled sources, we're building a beacon of light for natural health information: a place where ideas are shared openly, explored honestly and backed by sources you can check.
Why Read exists
Too much of what we're told about health comes from a narrow set of approved sources. Ideas that don't fit are filtered out, buried or never heard at all, and people are left with fewer choices than they deserve.
We built Read to change that. It's a home for practitioners, researchers and curious minds to share what they've found, from the latest research to the history, philosophy and politics of medicine and our freedom to choose our own care.
Open doesn't mean anything goes. Every piece is read before it's published, sourced so you can check it, and clear about who wrote it. Light is only useful if you can trust it.
Providers, researchers and independent writers, with or without credentials. Good ideas can come from anywhere.
Pieces cite credible, stable sources, numbered and listed, so you can follow the trail and make up your own mind.
Every piece links to its author. Healthcare providers carry a Provider label and a path to book them.
We believe people deserve the full picture of their options, and the right to choose the care that's right for them.
An editor reads every submission. We may ask for changes, edit for clarity, or decline a piece.
Pieces don't claim that a remedy, supplement or technique cures a specific disease. They inform and open up ideas.
No self-promotion in the writing; author bios are the place for that. Authors tell us about any financial link to what they mention.
Debate is welcome. Criticism is aimed at ideas and events, never at people.
Read is a range of voices. Publishing a piece doesn't mean Materia+ endorses everything in it.
See something inaccurate or unsafe? Tell us with a link to the piece, and we'll correct, update or remove it.
Read informs and inspires; it isn't medical advice. When something you read speaks to you, talk it through with a qualified provider who can look at your own health.
