Patient Experiences can differentiate you to patients looking for a provider and can enhance your chances of securing more bookings. The more you are recommended, the greater trust you can establish with potential clients.
Additionally, experiences are an excellent tool for assessing your practice’s reliability and reputation, not just regarding treatments, but also in relation to all the other factors that contribute to a successful healthcare practice.
You can inform your patients that Materia+ automatically sends a prompt inviting them to share their experiences. Additionally, you can encourage them to share their experiences through visuals on your client portal, incorporate reminders into your resources, or utilize other subtle methods. Discuss with your patients the value of leaving a review and how it can benefit your practice on Materia+.
All Patient Experiences on Materia+ are submitted by patients after they have seen the provider twice, helping to protect providers from biases that can occur during first-time appointments for various treatments. Our objective is to facilitate reviews that are fair, accurate, and trustworthy. Two key factors distinguish these reviews from others:
When patients provide an Experience, they need to select “Recommended” or “It Isn’t For Me,” to the question, “Would you recommend the provider who treated you?” The number of recommendations on your profile is the number of recommendations you have received from patients.

By default, Patient Experiences appear based on the time they were posted, with most recent experiences showing at the top.
Materia+ does not allow reviews that contain profanity, personal information, insurance-related pricing specifics, promotional content, or that question the accuracy of a provider’s diagnosis.
If you believe that a review is in violation of our Review Policy, please email support@materiaplus.com. Reviews may be disputed up to one year from the date of their approval.
Providers who are not comfortable with review systems have the option to conceal all patient experiences from their profile. However, this choice means that your patients and visitors to your profile will be unable to view any patient feedback. This will also hide the total number of recommendations you have received.
Because patient experiences have to do with healthcare, we do not currently allow provider responses to these experiences. It's very important for us to keep patients' healthcare secure, and this could add a risk of their information being posted publicly.
