What is Materia+’s cancellation and no-show policy?

Updated over a month ago

We acknowledge that unexpected events can sometimes keep you from attending your scheduled appointment. Nonetheless, we expect all patients to do their best to fulfill their commitments to their appointments.

If your ability to attend your appointment changes, please take responsibility for rescheduling or canceling it through your Materia+ account as soon as possible. Not showing up for your appointment will be classified as a “no-show.” Should you frequently reschedule or cancel appointments, fail to attend, or breach our community standards, we reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to Materia+ services.

Why?

Making changes at the last minute affects other patients' ability to receive essential care and causes significant disruption for providers and their teams.

Scheduling Changes

If you can no longer attend your scheduled appointment, please be courteous and:

  • Reschedule if possible: if you cannot make your appointment, first attempt to contact the provider to reschedule.
  • Give sufficient notice: if you need to cancel, give as much notice as possible. Please do not cancel within 24 hours of your appointment time.
  • Don't No-Show: No-shows prevent other patients from booking appointments and don't allow providers to maximize their in-office time to serve patients.

As a reminder, always be mindful of typical office hours. Many offices are closed on weekends. If you schedule an appointment for Monday morning during the weekend, please ensure that you will be able to attend at the designated time.
