About
Mateo is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. He has provided treatment for many individuals, couples, and families from a variety of cultural backgrounds, challenging life experiences, and complex mental health concerns all over Toronto and the GTA. Mateo’s clinical work can be described as an eclectic therapeutic approach primarily rooted in modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Throughout his 9 years of clinical experience, Mateo has provided services for people working through and managing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, emotional difficulties, relationship/family issues, challenges in faith and spirituality, grief and mourning, and helping individuals in all degrees of active drug and alcohol addiction. Mateo is passionate about helping people of all backgrounds, life stages, and cultures. Through the art of psychotherapy, he provides a safe space to collaboratively promote growth, resiliency, and an overall new experience of self outside of the unique cycles of suffering experienced within individuals, in relationships or family units.
